Nearlyfour years have passedsince its Prime Video division announced plans to adapt J.R.R.

The fact thatLOTRis still another year away from hitting screens really shouldnt come as a shock.
Sure, there had been trade paper speculation on a late 2021 or early 2022 premiere.
Though probably not unprecedented, thats unusual for TV even big projects such asLOTR.

To be clear, Amazon execs havent evenhintedthey are planning such a change.
Meanwhile, ViacomCBSs own streaming service, Paramount+, currently has exactly zeroSouth Parkcontent.
The first movies will stream this year.
Not ideal, considering HBO Max spent a half-billion dollars to be the digital home ofSouth Park.
