A glorious season of television comes to a glorious close.
Its no secret that I was smitten withWe Are Who We Arefrom its very first frames.
Much of what has madeWe Are Who We Areso refreshing is its own sense of pace.
Caitlin explicitly acknowledges her trans identity (FTM, right?
Yet both moments feel fraught off, even.
Its a disorienting moment for her, crystallizing what had long been a tacit understanding.
To quote Britney, Dont act like you didnt know.
Who is Caitlin to Fraser?
Who is Fraser to Caitlin?
The show doesnt give us an answer.
And we would do well to follow their lead.
