I sometimes fancy myself more the first bang out of person, but who am I kidding?

Chris Pratt in The Tomorrow War.

I took one look atThe Tomorrow Wars dopey premise and knew I was all in.

IsChris Pratt a movie star, though?

Hes certainly done well with both hisMarvelandJurassic Worldoutings, whatever we may think of the films themselves.

Hes not a sly, above-it-all jokester.

Theres a certain struggling-with-basic-concepts quality to the way he furrows that brow, an Im-not-sure-what-to-do-with-myself physicality to his movements.

That opening flash-forward is a hint of whats in store for Dan, however.

(If you already have questions, you might want to steer clear of this picture.)

Within a year, the worlds armies have been depleted and a global draft has been instituted.

All the kids in Dans class appear to have given up on life itself.

(This idea becomes even more pointed in the films final act, but lets not spoil that.)

(These things would give Cthulhu nightmares.)

But its still tremendous fun, because this thingmoves.
