Ive never been a spoiler baby.

But it doesnt make it less of a bummer.
Cohen works famously hard on his movies, hiring a ridiculous number of writers with different styles.
WatchingBorat 2was no different.
But this stupidity doesnt feel slight because its building to something.
My larger concern is how all of this depreciates comedy generally.
Ive seen this only get worse since Trump got elected.
(Maybe thats just me, but I dont think it is.)
I did not like Cohens Showtime seriesWho Is America?as much as any of his other work.
I found it dreadfully self-important.
Its just less interesting to reduce the film to a variety of attempts to get people.
As he once said on an episode ofWTF, he is addicted to the rush of a massive stunt.
But this is not another obituary for context in a post-modern age.
This is an obituary for the most enjoyable way one could have seenBorat 2.
