To sayLegendarylives up to its name feels like an understatement.

And I was like, sign me up.
You know, ballroom/vogue, thats such an amazing world that it needed to be highlighted.
Can you walk me through the process?So basically Im given the whole season.
Like I get every category, every theme, everything creative throughout the season.
And then the cast gets it like, per episode, so theres no thinking ahead for them.
The next day, my teams there.
Im illustrating on set.
And its like,Youre doing this!
You guys do this!
Oh wow.You know, it gets substantially easier-ish.
The cast is just so fun and they trust in the process.
You know, Houses were very hands-on and helping.
Whats the most challenging part of making these costumes?Getting it done!
Getting it done so theres a costume onstage.
and Im just gluing until its literally showtime when theyre getting buckled in for the first time.
So the hardest part, sometimes, is when theres reveals that we dont get to rehearse.
Thats tough because you want to have rehearsals.
You want to try it out.
But sometimes due to the schedule we just didnt have time to do that, so.
But theyre all such cool, perfect, professional performers that theyre like, Well figure out.
Well just do it.
Well just go for it.
But here, they want categories like Bizarre, so you want to be really over-the-top and crazy.
But theyre going to be flailing around throwing themselves over there and doing all this.
So you have to figure out, how can a costume sustain all this action?
One of the highlights of the show is its judging.
He and I are good friends.
We love each other and we always kiki and Ill DM him like, You bitch!
you know, if he says something or nitpicks a shoe or something like that.
But you know, I dont take it personally because its a collaboration.
Theyre the ones making the routine.
Theyre the ones coming up with the concept.
Im just a vessel for them.
I give them ideas, I do what I can, and I amplify it all up.
Sometimes I do ask, like, am I being judged here?
But its not about me.
But it is what it is.
Ive separated my emotions from it.
Also, its ballroom!
Its about throwing shade and reading each other, but in the end its all just love.
And understanding that its coming from a place of love.
Theres always a celebration.
So if Im nitpicking, its because everything else is great, right?Yeah.
Thats what Law has said many times.
But also, its like, you donthaveto say that.
Just say its perfect.
I dont think that would make good TV, though.Oh, yeah.
Maybe for season three Ill, like, storm out on set.
And Im like, yes you do.
And Tonka [from theHouse of Comme des Garcons] is in, like, this little skirt.
Im all about self-expression and just being who you are, andLegendaryis such a showcase for that.
you might be who you are.
So for the costumes, it was no-holds-barred.
And theyre like, No, Im a boy today.
Im like, Okay, cool.
Theres no boundaries, which I just love.
Everyones just who they are.
And its just so cool to see all the love and support for such a world.
That was just so fun.
It was the Wild West theme and it was, you know, the gown moment.
I mean, thats one of my favorite things Ive ever made.
That was really fun.
And, Lanvin I mean, some of their looks were so good.
I love their look.
I mean, Eyricka in thoseMaleficentwings!Oh my God, those wings!
It was so funny because she was like, I want the biggest wings possible.
Meanwhile, were in, like, the middle of nowhere Connecticut filming this.
But yeah, Eyricka, she was just so full of ideas.
And theyre learning about this world.
And its, you know, so opulent and over-the-top.
So I think the bottom line ofLegendaryis just acceptance and celebration.
The stage is glamorous, the costumes, Im so proud of.
Its just gonna all be so much more over-the-top.
Theres some really gag-worthy moments and reveals.
Theres things that Ive made on this season that Im like,Thats the coolest shit Ive ever made.
Like, this going in the catalogue of iconography of things Johnny Wujek has made.
Like, thecupcake braand then this!
People are going to be very happy.
