Its hard not to wonder how the series might have played out had the balance been different.
That was likely never going to happen, though.
Jordan gave himself entirely to his pursuit, and everything he had went into the furnace to fuel it.

It would be foolish to expect him to surrender creative control now.
All of which is fine, provided you know what it is.
Now, as always, Jordan inspires both awe and a certain pity.
