Thankfully, in the age of streaming, its never too late to catch up.

One is the sadness of knowing I couldve been loving this showthis whole time!
That way, if the show gets canceled, at least I know I did my best.
Itssofunny, and so legitimately fantastic, and I am justfuriousat myself for not watching sooner.
So I say it counts as an overlooked series of the year that is currently, mercifully, ending.
I also want to count it because it is a great show that I deeply enjoyed.
Thankfully, its nottheend.
A second season ofWork in Progressis in progress and will hopefully drop in 2021.
Its a fantasy Ive never lived but felt as if I missed it deeply.

or Where is theEin Premier League?
I was so stupidly wrong.
My apologies to Jason Sudeikis.
Simply, this is a balm for your heart.
Because who wouldnt want to sit down and watch Sudeikiss mustachioed coach enjoy a nightly shortbread-baking ritual?
Or handpick works of literature for all of his players to read?
Or come up with a bizarrefree kickthats destined to be re-created by one of the Manchester teams next season?
Theres a quote that I quite like from the shows season finale: Its the hope that kills you.
For me, that now means the idea of more shows embracingTed Lassos spirit in the future.

Haikyuu!!
(Netflix/Crunchyroll)
Haikyuu!
!is ashonenseries, which means, quite literally, that its a teenage-boy show about high-school volleyball.
True to the genre,Haikyuu!
Every point becomes a battle, every position crucial.
This is volleyball as a crucible that reveals both character and mettle, life philosophy and social theory.Haikyuu!
!just loves volleyball so much, and now I do, too.
Cheap, gimmicky competition shows are nothing new for the Big Four broadcast networks.
And just when you think it cant get any better,Sally Phillips shows up with an accent.
Overall, its an embarrassment of riches that makes a perfect escapist comedy for your winter quarantine blues.
(We wont spoil you, but a little Chrishell Stause Justin Hartley Google search could.)
Leave it to the Oppenheim Group girls to make the sale.
