The action this episode revolves around Lady Denhams pineapple party.
The pineapple isnative to tropical and subtropical America.
So how did Lady Denham get one in less-than-tropical England in 1817?
As for the Antigua black that Georgiana references, it isthe worlds sweetest pineappleand on Antiguas coat of arms.
Hence the non-Antigua pineapple.
She says it will be the centerpiece of her luncheon party.
