Lamb of God song that sounds the most like Richmond

And its slower at times … theres a flavor to it.

It goes back to the hardcore scene in Richmond.

Theres a band calledHonor Role, which had weird time signatures.

Then they turned into an instrumental band called Breadwinner.

Steve Albini produced a couple of their EPs; its collected on a CD calledBurner.

Breadwinner was highly influential on all of us, even me, even though theyre instrumental.

Overall, that would be Reality Bath.

Reality Bath is what he called it, and it has not been repeated to this day.

Twights a writer, as well.

He wrote a book calledKiss or Kill.

He took the name Reality Bath from the title of some obscure Canadian punk rock band, I think.

Music fed this weird ice-climbing route, which fed a song title for my band.

Its a neat cyclical thing.

Mark Morton, my guitar player, gave me a really good compliment the other day.

It says what it has to say, and it gets in and out.

I wouldnt strip to it.

If I was going to be a stripper, Id be stripping to Sade or Marvin Gaye or something.

Definitely Embers, and particularly the end of Embers.

Mark and I wrote that song together.

Hes written about it, so Im not speaking out of class, buthe lost a daughter.

I think its a body of work that is the most cohesive lyrically, the most unified.

Theyre important to me, and I know theyve helped a few people.

I like the lyrics to Contractor, too, because I just think theyre clever.

I wrote a skeleton this time.

Id just kinda written lyrics as the topics came to mind.

This time, it was much more thought out beforehand.

Oh God, probably some earlier stuff.

For me, its beyond gratifying … it gives methe feels, as they say.
