It has been a long time coming, but were finally here.

There was a moment in Becca Evans, Part II that was actually pretty telling.

After Mia vents to Marcus about her string of unsuccessful relationships, he suggests dating someone like her.

And actually maybe have it work out for once?

Why would Mia be so opposed to happiness?

More than two decades later, shes still skeptical of men, Marcus included.

It doesnt help that her fast-food-empire-owner dad wont help them out, no matter how badly Suzanne is floundering.

The loss of her house stings even more when she discovers her parents flirting in the kitchen.

Leon has the financial capability to save it, he just chooses not to.

Leon and Suzannes being in an on-and-off relationship only adds more salt to the wound.

Finally, anger gives way to tears.

The camera pulls back to make her appear so small within the darkness of the garage.

But now her mother had caved, and Mia couldnt help but feel betrayed.)

He might have been there in his limited capacity, but he was nevertherefor her.

Every visit from you felt mandatory, Mia says.

Leon will never be the father Mia needed him to be.

Which brings us back to Marcus.

But Marcus is the exception.

For the past six months, he has been an eerily perfect boyfriend attentive and genuinely caring.

And so, that marks the end (?)

for Marcus and Mia.

Was I hearing things, or did Suzanne call Leon daddy?

Right in front of Mias salad???

Anna Kendrick makes her second cameo of the season at Mias birthday.

references to Magnus are not hitting the way theyre intended to.

Even in adulthood, Mia is still being deprived of a good burger.
