The thoughtful prompt elicited an equally thoughtful and candid response from starKofi Siriboe.

I think we celebrate it.

Theres so many facets that we dont touch.

And if we do, its surface.

But then were supposed to celebrate like crazy.

Siriboe continued:

Its a balance.

And put simply, statistically, were not being represented.

I dont care how much you see us right now.

Were not being represented.

But the truth of the color that we live in … were scratching the surface.

The people have to know the truth.

How do we a shine a lot on all of this while still celebrating our progress?

How do we not be fooled by what theyre calling progress?

We shouldnt have been below ground in the first place.
