InHeartbreakers, mother-daughter team Max and Page work to seduce and swindle unsuspecting rich men.
What first drew you toHeartbreakersand the role of Page?
First of all, it was a chance to be in a movie with incredible actors.
It was a really cool opportunity to play something that I hadnt played before.
Having a really close relationship with my mom in real life, the mother-daughter aspect of it was appealing.
I always loved the trust element of the story.
Like a mother saying, Dont trust anyone, but trust me.
That pink minidressthat you wear when you bust into Jacks bar is iconic.
Did you end up keeping it?
I felt like a Barbie doll.
I think I did keep it for a short period of time.
Is that something that would normally happen on a set?
Its such a physical movie.
I mean, she was constantly tripping and falling down.
I was such a big fan.
I was so nervous to mess it up.
I just remember meeting Ray, and instantly I felt so much better.
He was the kindest, funniest, sweetest man who made me feelsocomfortable.
I remember hearing my mom go, Oh goodness.
I asked her afterward, What was the Oh goodness for?
She was like, Its just your butt.
Its just going to be your butt, giant on the screen.
I wasveryyoung, and I think people thought that I was more that person because I didMaximcovers.
Was your hair really stuck in Rays zipper?
Yes, they picked one piece.
I had extensions partially in my hair, but I was there for a very long period of time.
When I look back, its like … what a weird job.
Your grandma was also there watching you film that scenewith Ray and his crotch.
It was the perfect day to bring your fam.
I wanted to feel comfortable.
My grandmother thought it was hilarious.
Was it daunting to act alongside them?
How much of the movie did you spend making out with Jason versus acting with him?
A lot of the movie.
We had such a good time.
Jason and I were just constantly making out.
Did you really trip?
She did really have to trip me.
She did it gently and then it was kind of up to me to do the rest.
But I broke my fingers and then couldnt do too many more takes.
But you got to get Max back later by attacking Sigourney in a car.
It was terrifying because youre like, Oh my gosh, Imnotgonna do this to Sigourney Weaver.
She was great about it, and it was really fun.
He was sweet about it.
At the time that we made that movie, that wasnt really the case.
The con world is really interesting; so many con artists are really smart.
Its been really fun for me to see how many livesHeartbreakershas.
Its still the top-three things people talk to me about.
Did you study any con artists in particular when you were preparing for Page?
Sigourney and I felt like ballers.
I mean, I was in barely any clothing the whole movie.
I was really tired of that conversation.
WithHeartbreakers, that was a big part of it.
You were so young at the time.
I didnt get it.
Thats just what I looked like, and I was doing my job.
They talked about Jamie Lee Curtis at one point.
I want to say Christina Riccis name came up.
I think it was Christina Ricci and Anjelica Huston, which also would have been amazing.
I still dont know why they settled on me and Sigourney, but Imsoglad that they did.
Was there ever talk of aHeartbreakerssequel?
Where would Max and Page be now?
Ive always been really open to doing that and exploring that, but it just never happened.
It would be interesting to see how much Page turned out like her mother.
That would be her worst nightmare, but its inevitable.
Im in my 40s, so Im not going to do [Pages] wardrobe again right now.
I know exactly who I think would be great: Jennifer Lopez and Jenna Ortega.
They would be the perfect Max and Page ever.
I mean, Jennifer Lopez we dont even have to explain that because shes perfection.
But Jenna reminds me so much of where I was at that time.
Shes so beautiful, and she has this innate adult thing about her, but shes a kid.
Were there any types of projects you wanted to take on during theHeartbreakersera that you didnt get to?
I always feel very fortunate for the stuff that I got to be in.
Now that Im in my 40s, Im like,Okay, where is it?
I have faith that one day I will find the right rom-com or it will find me.
