PerhapsDunes greatest practical effect is how MacLachlans 80s-college-bro orb of hair remains intact the entire movie.

Thats the big lesson,Lynch later reflected.

Dont make a film if it cant be the film you want to make.

Its a sick joke, and itll kill you.
