Especially last year, I was thinking a lot about the duality of the Black experience in America.
At once, its a place of this great hope, which I think Juneteenth represents in one way.
On the other side, its incredibly difficult and theres a lot of pain.
And they kind of walk hand-in-hand.
They become either saints or theyre vilified.
The right function of it is to make you uncomfortable.
Horrors just better in a room full of people that are just freaking out.
