Soul singer-songwriter Bill Withers died March 30 at 81, his familytold the Associated Pressin a statement on Friday.
He died in Los Angeles due to heart complications.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia, and children, Todd and Kori.
Withers appeared at the event, but didnt perform.
