Like your favorite theater-camp counselor, Ruffin always commits to the bit.
Hers is a late-night show built on familiar formats.
For the monologue, Ruffin mostly sits behind a desk delivering topical punch lines.
She performs silly, satirical songs with Jimmy Fallonlevel energy (and much sharper lyrics).
She delights in toggling between the broad and the specific.
(With the possible exception of James Corden.)
Jeff is furious; Amber apologizes.
It is supremely dumb, this sketch.
After Ruffin orders Randys still-wiggling corpse to be removed from the set, the show continues.
But some of these jokes are just for me!
Thats what makes her show so good.
